Details: This image is based on the Fibonacci Sequence, in which every number in the sequence is equal to the sum of the two numbers that precede it. The sequence typically starts with 0 and 1, making the first few numbers: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, and so on. This sequence appears surprisingly often in nature. You can find it in the spiral arrangement of seeds in sunflowers, the branching of trees, the way leaves are arranged on stems, and the spiral shells of snails, for example. This image is interesting in that every small circle is a unique distance from the center of the spiral. I have prepared a sister image for this piece, entitled Ralletsretni (Interstellar spelled backwards) which is tonally inverted.
